Gene's Tasty Burger

Swung by here and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean. Great breakfast.

My Wife and I stopped by for lunch on Nov. 16th. The line at the door was impressive. The order taker was overwhelmed and needed help. I ordered a small double cheeseburger with large fries. The burger tasted good but there was no cheese. The fries are small cut and I feel like I received a small portion, not the large I ordered. My Wife ordered a large single patty burger with onion rings. She said the burger was good. The onion rings are obviously frozen. They were not thawed before cooking and several were stuck together. They looked like they had been run over by a truck, the batter was broken and falling off. All things considered, lunch was not a pleasant experience. The napkins that are on the table are the worst excuse for a napkin I have ever seen. Some were in the holder upside down but they tore (shredded) when you tried to pull them out of the holder, no matter which way they were turned. On a better note, the place looks so much better with the new paint and the new flooring. Feb. 6, 2024 I made my second visit today and I am impressed. The burger was made exactly to my order and tasted great. The French fries were larger than the shoestring fries on my first visit and were very good. The service was much better. My Wife and I will definitely be back. Thank you.

We were so glad to see a local iconic restaurant re-open. It took us a while to get there, but what a great great cheeseburger just like it always has been. Hot and fresh. Great hand-cut fries. Looking forward to having a chocolate malt soon. Friendly employees.

The food was fast, made from scratch, delicious, and affordable. The interior has been scrubbed, painted, and new floors, looks very nice. Service? Well, you order your food at the counter, they take your name, then ring your order. The receipt has a place for a tip. I don't like to leave a tip before the service, but I did. They handed me my drink and told me to sit anywhere. They called my name, and I picked up my food at the counter. Later, I needed a drink refill, I went to the counter and got it. There are big trashcans with signs to not throw away the tray. I bussed my table and threw away my trash. So I'm not exactly sure what kind of service I tipped for. Again, the food was scratch made and delicious. It was out in under 5 minutes. But I'll not leave a tip if I'm gonna wait on myself.

Payed $50 for 3 burger combos. If your trying to save money stay away from here.
