Oishi Sushi Restaurant Bar - Shawnee

My wife and I tried Oishi for lunch, today for the first time we were there. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices and absolutely delicious food. We had two lunches, two sushi rolls and two soft drinks. The accounts were only $40. Everything was extremely tasty; they could have the best crab noise in town. Very recommended.

Oishi is undoubtedly the best sushi restaurant in the KC Metro area. I regularly go with my partner, I take everyone who likes sushi. Sometimes when I feel like alone, I come here myself to relax, drink something warm and watch sports at the bar. This way it is a great place for any situation. The quality of sushi here is high, but prices are not as high as you would expect. Very in the middle of the road if not something on the expensive side, but it is really good overall. If you go to a sushi place in the Plaza, simply pay 3 times as much for a product that is half quality. If you live in the city, make the trip to the suburbs. This will be the best striped mall sushi experience of your life. I am a big fan of Sashimi and Sushi, but their roles are also good. If you take a date here, I recommend the sushi and sashimi for two. You get a bit of everything (soup, salad, sushi, sashimi, 2 reels) for like $70. It's a steal. Thanks to the staff in Oishi! You help Shawnee make a great place to live!

This place is aptly named! Everything is delicious. I've only had it delivered, so I can't speak to the restaurant atmosphere, but the food has been perfect each time. And mushrooms in the veggies! Big, juicy mushrooms! The veggies are perfect--the exact right firmness. The steak is cooked to perfection. The chicken is flavorful and delicious. The rice is just right. The miso soup is good. The eel and avocado sushi is my favorite. Hibachi meals are my favorite. My stepfather was Japanese, and he used to take us to a friend's tepanyaki restaurant when I was growing up. They were always my favorite trips. So, I've been eating hibachi in KCKS for over 30 years, and I'm a little picky. I'm very happy with my dinner here. 頂きます! Found a new go to sushi place tonight! Service was kind and speedy and the Oishi roll in particular was amazing, however we ordered it without mango. The presentation of the food was also spectacular. We’ll be coming back soon

I was craving a sushi sashimi platter and this place popped up on my google search. I went on for lunch and was blown away by their platters. We got an amazing assortment of different fish, think salmon, yellowtail, ahi tuna and white fish and it was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepped and sliced, and generous portions. The platter we chose came with the spicy tuna roll and their eel and avocado roll, and I happened to enjoy the freshness of the latter more. The boat display was really cute as well. We also enjoyed the crab rangoons, great flavour all around. The staff and service was excellent, will be back to try their platters and specialty rolls for sure.
