Przekaż informację zwrotnąV's Steakhouse was quite the experience! I have never been to a restaurant that put so much thought and creativity into its presentation. From the email we received and the way we were greeted upon entry, to the costumes worn and the presentation of the food and drinks, it was all so fabulous. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning another date next weekend! The rack of lamb is the absolute best I have ever had! The chocolate cake paired well with the espresso martini. I'm looking forward to our next adventure there. We enjoyed the walk on the dock after dinner. It was just as great.
Okay this is going to be a little long. We love, love, love seafood. Several months ago we heard this was a great place so we went. I ordered the fried fish and my husband ordered the catfish. We could try both. They were both terrible. They tasted frozen and greasy. Promised not to go there to eat seafood. I know I want good seafood in North Texas...silly. I also know catfish is not seafood. Today we go with friends because they love the place. Vow not to get seafood. Another lady ordered calamar for the table. I love calamari so I tried it. It smelled, oozed of something black and was nothing but rubbery. Indication of either cheap product or old seafood. Probably both. I ordered a caesar salad and buffalo wings. Pretty safe right. The salad was very tart and heavy with the dressing. The romaine was wilted. The wings were not crispy which would not have helped with rest of it. Again, the wings tasted frozen and old. That is the only thing I can attribute the flavor to. My husband had a burger and said it was fine. I do have a compliment. They make their own dressings and the blue cheese was really good with big chunks of the blue cheese. The service was very decent and attentive. Go somewhere else. If you want catfish in Gun Barrel go down to Hectors Mexican food. It is excellent.
We happened upon Vs Steakhouse looking for a nice place to have a drink. We called to see if they had a bar. Yes in deed they did. After knocki,g on what looked like a kitchen entrance we were transported to a little slice of history. The ambiance, the music all reminiscent of an old, elegant Speakeasy. My Old Fashioned drink at the bar was excellent. So one thing let to another. Although we weren't hungry, we ate. And we were so pleasantly surprised. We had a simple dish...Beef Tournedors....I believe....and it was excellent. Tender beef with mushrooms and root vegetables and the sauce was divine. Thank you Chris, thank you Zack, for making a night out in Gun Barrel City such a memorsble experience.
Food was great, the waiter was good, atmosphere is great. But I came here specifically to get creme brulee as you seem to be one of the only ones in town with it it's one of your main pictures AND at the top of your menu on Google but you don't have it? I just think you might remove from your menu on Google at the very least as it is misleading. The food you did have was amazing though.Other than that everything was wonderful. just very disappointing to spend over $100 on dinner for two and not be able to even get what I wanted. The food I did order was wonderful!
My boneless ribeye was fatty and tasteless..even my husband said so. His primerib was delicious. Drinks were great and wine recommendations was great. Service was great.. when our waitress was busy someone else just lent a hand. Great atmosphere! We will go again. No more ribeye for me.
