Cafe du Commerce - Serres

We stopped in Serres for lunch, while driving to Torino. The restaurant had a nice selection on the menu and seemed very popular. My mussels were nicely presented and very testy.

Of all the restaurants in Serres this was our least favorite. The food is average but the annoying flies and non-English speaking waitress and grumpy waiter made it a not so enjoyable experience. The tables were a bit too small and the menu lacks imagination. I'd recommend any of the surrounding restaurants.

Nothing special, just an average restaurant serving reasonably priced basic meals together with a limited range of wines (INMO) overpriced) Friendly service

I stopped on my way to Italy to have a meal. I ordered a "pave de boeuf" medium done. It came raw and I complained. As a result they cut the piece of meat in half and recooked it and served it back to me. The meat cut was so stringy that I could not chew it at all. I would not finish my meal and they still charged me a full price od 15.90 euros and no apologies offered. I certainly do not recommend Café su Commerce in Serres.
