Devaney's Fish Shop - Selby

The chips were terrible and ended up in the trash. They tasted like they had been reheated and refried, with some of them being hard. I will not be coming back for the fish.

I recently had a takeaway lunch from Wetherby Whaler Tadcaster. The food was just as good as their flagship restaurant in Wetherby. It would have been even better if there were picnic benches on the grass next to the parking area.

Been coming here for fish chips for years. Always freshly cooked, chatty friendly staff a good variety on the menu from pies, fish, spicy battered fish, sausage, chicken nuggets fish bites for the kids :

Love these fish and chips. Cooked to perfection. Must admit, I wish they were open more often as when you drive past 9 times out of ten the place is shut!! Apart from that when they are open its a treat.

Been getting my fish and chips fix from here for more years than I will own up to (I remember it as the place where the Wetherby Whaler owners cut their teeth) and the quality has never dropped. Succulent fish in crispy batter and fabulous chips to go with it. My only criticism is they open at strange hours but it's hard to fault the food.
