Dolphin - Sefton

This was my second visit to the Dolphin, first occasion my and a friend had the steak pie with chips etc, it was so good we decided to go again and try the fish and chips to see what they was like or had we just been lucky with the pie. Well the meal was ordered and served by very polite staff, nothing was too much for them to make sure you enjoyed your visit for some really wonderful food, the fish was mega, it covered the plate and unfortunately half of it was eaten before I thought of taking the photo, (sorry for that) Whitby is the next biggest fish I have seen on a plate. Chips was very nice with the mushy pea's bread and butter along with coffee for a modest £11:85 I have seen places charging £15 £18 for less, and bread and butter was extra. I really can't thank the staff enough for a very pleasant experience, one will remember the joke (my plaice or yours) pointing at the fish. Thank you and trust me I will be back. 7 star rating.....

We went in at 12.00 for an early lunch. Warm welcome from the staff including the fryer. We had the special fish and chips which includes a drink, and piece of bread and butter with regular fish size and mushy peas. We both absolutely enjoyed our meal. Everything was delicious the fish batter was so light and crispy and chips tasty and well cooked through. It is a while since we have been to the dolphin and had forgotten how good it is. Definitely be back when revisiting Southport, and highly recommend anyone visiting, if you want a chippy meal. The dolphin is the place.

Went to this restaurant after a day out in Southport. What a friendly place. They did a senior special menu which was really reasonably priced . Our waitress was Thea who was excellent. The food came quickly and was really tasty and there was plenty of it. Can highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.

Went for a lunch time meal here. It was lovely staff were very friendly, food was very fresh and delicious. 3 of the group had the senior meal deal and enjoyed it very much. Said it was definitely worth it. Portion sizes were very good. Would definitely recommend and next time am in Southport would definitely go back.

The food was very nice and very sound staff, all the staff were kind, the seating was well arranged and everywhere was very clean, everyone was very welcoming. Overall it was a great experience and good priced food
