The Duck At Burtle - Sedgemoor

The food at this restaurant is exceptional and expertly prepared. The service is outstanding. The only minor complaint we have is that we are not fans of wooden serving plates, but that is just a personal preference.

We had a wonderful lunch at this pub. The staff was extremely friendly, the service was fast, and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will be returning in the future.

We made a reservation for a table for four, and all four of us enjoyed a fantastic lunch. The server, a cheerful lady, provided great service. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

We've been before but nit recently. On arrival entering the restaurant we were greeted by a warm, light decor, lovely soft coloured brick walls that exude peacefulness. What a great start to our lunch. The male host was very cheery and allowed us to choose a table as we were a little early. Once seated the menus were brought and the host explained the menu. I was unsure what condition was and because of his manner, felt confident in asking him. We had starters of bread and olives. The bread was warm and chunky and the balsamic vinegar to die for as was very thick and full of flavour. The main course of confit of duck with bean casulait. A whole duck leg cooked in various spices with the casulait provided a very tasty dish. My wife had pork schnitzel which covered the whole plate. How she ate it all I'll never know it looked fantastic. She then had a dessert of limoncello tirimisu how did she have the food for this? I couldn't eat another thing. The staff were brilliant, the environment lovely and the drive through the Somerset Levels to The Duck was superb. We'll done Guys. Richard

Visited The Duck today and must say thank you to the gentleman behind the bar (sorry I didn’t get your name), the service you provided was exceptional. All our meals were excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending this place. If I lived nearby I would definitely be returning.
