Barrio Cocina Mexicana - Sebastopol

I ordered the Veggie Burrito, and it was far from what I expected. It contained a total of 15 pinto beans, 14 kernels of corn, and just a few small pieces of onion; the rest was mostly rice and the wrap itself. The total cost of the ingredients, which should have been more accurately labeled a rice wrap, likely amounts to around 30 cents to 1 dollar. However, I was charged $15 plus tax for this so-called veggie burrito at BARRIO. To make matters worse, after reading several reviews below, it seems many others had a similar experience. It truly feels like a scam. I will not be returning, as what was advertised on the menu was nothing like what I was actually served.

The breakfast here is fantastic! I haven't tried other meals, but the pancakes are delicious and the staff is very friendly. I would say they have the best pancakes in Sebastopol. It's also a kid-friendly place. Just a heads up, parking can be challenging around noon in the lot.

I have tried this restaurant several times over two years and I have yet to find anything worth coming back for. Most recently, I have tried the Vamonos bowl and the Asian bowl, which were both oversalted. The tacos were super bland. I purchased the kids burrito for my kids and it had zero flavor. They wouldn't touch it after the first bite. The chips are like the big bag of round chips you can buy at Costco. Lastly, I will say the price is way too high for what you get. I am all for smaller portions, but I paid $17 for a bowl that barely fit into a third of the to-go container it came in. The prices either need to drop or the portions should increase. I'm not sure why this place is so popular, other than the location. My positive for this restaurant is the green salsa. It is very tasty.

I just wanted very simple and plain tacos, so I ordered the kids tacos which were bean and cheese. They tend to be more mild. They asked if I wanted chicken on it, I said sure. I tried to eat one, and only managed about 3/4, and threw the rest out. One, the tortilla was fried, and the beans and chicken were not recognizable, and it was slightly spicy. I seriously only wanted beans and cheese, and chicken was fine. These were kids tacos. In addition, the chips were round like Tostitos. Not for me, won't return.

The person working the counter couldn't put down her phone long enough to take my order. I asked what the vegan options are and ended up with the veggie tacos- hold the cheese. They were bland, mushy and unimaginative. Not to mention expensive. I won't be returning.Food: 1/5
