It ruined my experience because I had to chew the beef so much, I finished maybe 15% of my meal by the time the person I was with were done. It was tasty, but they need to work on the ratio of beef-to-vegetable.
We ordered 2 vegetarian combo meals but probably should have just gotten one. There was so much food! We ended up taking the leftovers home and had enough for another meal. We suggest mixing it all with injera and heating it in a skillet. Everything was delicious, but the shiro wot and the potato dish were the standouts. The misir wot was a bit sweeter than our preference.
First five dishes on the menu are fully vegan, including the veggie platter which includes samples of most of the others. Servings are huge. I could hardly eat half mine even after working up an appetite biking there. Two people could easily share a plate for a medium-light meal. At under $20, that's almost unheard of in Seattle. It's tied with Cafe Turko for my favorite non-vegan restaurant in Seattle. It's that good.
This restaurant is truly outstanding. The vegetable plate is delicious.
Large servings and a wide selection of tasty dishes make this restaurant a great choice for dining with someone who eats both meat and plant-based foods.
