Obon Sushi Bar Ramen Scottsdale Quarter

Came here for happy hour one day around 4pm. It was not busy so we were sat right away... They brought back my favorite cocktail. It was in the menu a few years ago, gone for a bit, and now back so I was pretty excited. The good : cocktail, cucumber saladThe meh: I think the price is a little expensive for the hand roll and specialty roll we had, but I guess they have to pay that Scottsdale quarter rent??? I'm not sure what it is about this place they are good, but not really great. I would still go back for my drink and if it were convenient, but I never seem to seek out Obon.

The food is good, fairly small menu but it's tasty. The hand rolls are not your typical style but still all tasty. The ambiance and service were also great.Food: 4/5

My bf and i got the obon ramen and the spam buns! one of the best ramen places we've tried! i wish we ordered more of the spam buns, each order only comes with one bun. it was so good, it had cucumber and kimchi and a spicy mayo along with the spam. the ramen itself was so filling, it has the perfect amount of spice and everything worked together so well! I RECOMMEND BOTH ITEMS WE TRIED

Food and service was good. Was seated very close to a couple other tables that were seating other customers but so close to the point that we could hear their conversation over ours (and not like they were yelling so no fault of theirs). That was the major downside of our experience. May be back and just ask for better seating.

The service and atmosphere was fine, but I came here for food and it was god awful. $28 (not including tax tip) for literally the worst shrimp fried rice I’ve ever had. Not only was it void of any flavor, but adding 6 overcooked, dried out, inedible, frozen flavored shrimp for $8 was a poor life choice. In fact, eating here was a poor life choice, and I’ll never do it again. I suggest you don’t go down that same dark path.
