They catered to two of my birthday parties and a Relay for Life event. Our friends always raved about the cinnamon buns, brownies, and cookies from our Dallas store. This visit was no exception! I grabbed a birthday bun with a cinnamon dough base and a topping, and as always, it was fantastic!
This restaurant is similar to Cinnabon, but it is completely vegan and offers numerous options for customizing the toppings on their cinnamon rolls. The food is delicious and addicting! In addition to cinnamon rolls, they also offer brownies, banana bread, and cheesecake for those who are not fans of cinnamon rolls.
I frequently order from Cinnaholic, but unfortunately, this time the cinnamon roll was disappointing. It seemed like it was made in a hurry and some ingredients were missing. I think this might be because I ordered late in the evening, close to closing time.
I was disappointed with the 4 Pack Old Skool Rolls. I had high hopes after reading other reviews, but my pack was dry and cold, tasting like it was baked the day before. I plan on giving it another try in person to ensure it is fresh and warmed up. The only redeeming quality was the cream cheese frosting, which was super buttery and delicious.
I had the pleasure of trying the bath and bounty (topped with cream brûlée frosting, raspberries, and caramel drizzle; omitting the almonds), Unicorn (strawberry frosting, sprinkles, marshmallows, and cinnamon dust), and a build-your-own cinnamon roll with maple frosting, brownie bites, marshmallows, and caramel. My favorite was the unicorn roll, though the build-your-own option was also incredibly rich and decadent. Despite the incident with the staff member, I have been a fan of Cinnaholic since 2012 and have been advocating for them to open in the Phoenix area. While this particular location is convenient for me, based on my experience, I would recommend exploring other options in Tempe instead.
