Hibernian Tavern - SCITUATE

Historically great ?restaurant food? experience and rated at 5 stars. Once chef changed in last 1-year (approx) I?ve degraded by 2 stars. I asked where old chef now works and I?m going there for food. No answer was provided. I?ve degraded to 3 stars for?pub food?. Guinness still awesome.

We love the Hibernian, but today was weird. The drinks were strong, but I ordered the Parisian mussels, and it was half what I normally got, and no more buck a shuck. Also, the bread for the mussels appeared to be half a grilled hamburger bun. Seriouslydisappointed. Will go to Tinkers Son for mussels next time.

Very unhappy with the way I was treated when I told Kim, the bartender that my drink had flat soda water. She was very rude and told me that the tank was full. I have been in the industry for many years and treated my customers with respect and customerservice. I think service employees need to remember that 20% is when you get great service it is not to be expected when yourservice is not 100%. I will never go in your establishment again.

The real deal. Not knocking TKO 's, but if you want an authentic Irish pub, this is the one. Amy was a fantastic bartender. Great live music.

Great food, great atmosphere. The unique offerings on the menu were wonderful and a great selection of drinks.
