Fragrant Bakery Xíng Xiāng Lǎo Diàn

My go-to bakery when I crave Hong Kong-style egg cakes. Freshly made, flaky, not too sweet and full of flavor. Their wife cake is also good. I always pick up other things like pineapple buns, peanut mochi, walnut cake...really taste like home.

Very delicious traditional Hong Kong style pastry including egg cart, Swiss roll and winter melon cake. Reasonable price. Highly recommended

Egg tarts are delicious. Also a great place to get wedding pastries (dowry offering) I believe it's twenty dollars for a box of 8 pastries.

Best authentic wife's cake 老婆餅 I've had in a long time. Flaky, tender pastry and not too sweet filling with some sesame seeds and I think candied winter melon. Love that they have a reduced sweetness version too. Their egg tarts were also fantastic flaky pastry and not too sweet egg custard. The mochi is also soft and generous with filling. Still good the day after! I'll definitely come again. Don't forget to bring cash. The ladies working there are no nonsense and quick typical old school HK customer service lol.
