Przekaż informację zwrotnąI recently had a lovely lunch with friends on a warm winter day at The Pines and it exceeded my expectations. The staff were attentive from the moment we walked in. The menu was extensive, offering a variety of tapas to share, local seafood specials, and a lunch menu. We ordered garlic bread, fish and chips, seafood chowder, twice cooked pork belly, and chicken and vegetable spring rolls, all of which were delicious. The restaurant has a good selection of white and red wines by the glass. We indulged in some desserts, including a three flavoured gelati and a chocolate orange lava cake, both of which were delightful. The nutella affogato with frangelico caught our eye and we'll have to try it next time. Parking in Scarborough can be a challenge, but it's worth it to dine at The Pines, which has both indoor and outdoor seating. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, The Pines.
Great location, lovely atmosphere, awesome food and friendly staff.......couldn't ask for better. Oysters and prawns to kick off the night and we weren't disappointed. Huge juicy sweet prawns and massive oysters, chilled to perfection = great entree. Fish of the day was perfectly cooked as were the garlic spuds and steamed vegies that came with it. The prawn pasta was to die for. Juicy plump prawns, chorizo, olives, tomatoes and feta all cooked in a light tomato sauce and topped with aged Parmesan was a hit. Thank you Shaz, the other floor staff and Danny for a lovely date night for myself and my partner. You guys didn't disappoint and we will definitely be back.
This place is great!!! Our waitress Daniella entertained our poor Italian and taught us a few more words ! She was fun and full of pizazz !!! The tapas was great and the wine was fabulous !!! Even though the decor could use a freshen up the most important elements were spot on !!!
We went to celebrate a birthday and being during the week the place was quiet and intimate. The food choices fabulous and so delicious I could have eaten more. We like week nights as they are less crowded than weekends. The pork belly was the best, like the crackle! The seafood chowder I found was a bit bland but improved with lots of soya sauce. The chocolate / orange small cake with soft centre and vanilla bean ice cream simply delicious. It is a good place to sit down, unwind, relax and have some drinks before dinner in the outside sitting area on a good night. Canapes and drinks are popular there.
We revisited The Pines with our regular large group and were delighted with the refreshed menu and being able to BYO wine weekdays. The ladies ordered the prawn salad which was delicious, the mens choice included seafood bisque, calamari and pork belly. All at the table commented how much they enjoyed their meals. We are a tough crew to please all, so well done. The service was attentive and friendly. We will be back.
