It was obviously a beer themed wedding, with awesome food, and with a relaxed environment. Vincent was absolutely great in accommodating all our requests, and he made all what his had in his power to make our wedding a special moment. He even helped us to identified a beach close by to shoot some of the wedding pictures. We were able to decorate and accommodate the patio for the ceremony, which was extremely convenient and nice. Food and beer were amazing, as expected. The Clean Plate is really a nice place for events. Kudos to Vincent and the Greenbush staff, we are extremely thankful with you guys.
Would of given a 4 star if one of the servers would of tried to crack a smile. Although the 3 gals behind the bar were busy, its a beautiful day and people where coming in and you should make them feel welcome. It's how you make your tips. The gal with the glasses on was the only half friendly one. The gal manager was cranky as heck. The food was cooked well and fresh but come on staff, make me feel like you are happy I picked your place to spend my money at instead of going across the street/next door.
This is a tough review for me. We were headed to Greenbush Brewery and the wait was a long so we went to this place next door as they served the same greenbush beers with tastings. My husband got the beef brisket sandwich and I got a salad. It was good. The reason for the three stars is the environment. Seems to me they may have way too many people working. While we were there and ate at the bar, employees were gathered behind bar chattering. In addition, a young kid stood right in front of us and washed glasses almost the whole time. Fine if he had to do it once, but every time there was a new dirty glass he came over to do it. His hair as he leaned over was about a foot from my food the entire time. Kind of grossed me out. So all in all, food was good and beer fine but I would not frequent again, just not a pleasant dining experience. I will wait to get into main Brewery next time. Again, my opinion of the experience, if this wouldn't have bothered you, food was good.
Our campground of choice, Warren Dunes State Park, is just a quick 5 minute drive from Sawyer. We usually pack light on the breakfast food because it's a tradition to visit Clean Plate Club on Sunday when we head out. We definitely look forward to it. Greenbush is one of my favorite breweries, and they definitely do breakfast right here at CPC. I'd recommend following them on Instagram to keep up with their specials. I haven't had the doughnuts on Saturday yet, but that's definitely one of my end of summer goals.
Loved the atmosphere! The beer we tried was delish..Brother Hezekiah. Our server, Angela, was super informative happy even though she was working on her anniversary!! We tried the pork tacos soft. Lovely. Very good even without sour cream. Would've gotten more if our next stop wasn't the local pretzel shop!! : what a great area to explore. Would definitely come back.
