If you stick to standards like lasagna and some of their other pasta or pub-type dishes, you'll probably be happy enough. Stay away from the fish and chips - my mother in law got very sick from the coleslaw they serve. The batter on the fish was soggy, not crisp. The server told us that she also can't stomach the coleslaw. It is made in a big tub, so when you get it, it can be quite old and very gas-inducing.
I have always had a good meal here. Food is appealing and plentiful and so they are used to take home packing for leftovers.
This restaurant has become a preferred destination for my wife and I on nights "we don't feel like cooking". The prices are very reasonable and the portions are enormous. We particularly like their tossed salad with their home made thousand island dressing. The cutlets with the mushroom sauce are very good. The staff very friendly and accommodating.Minor irritant - the usual lineup to pay the tab as the the front desk are frequently tied up on the phone taking take-out or delivery orders or dealing with people/drivers picking up orders.
Cant really go wrong here. nice décor, great food, friendly service but not in the best of neighbourhoods. the dishes are a bit outdated but traditional. window seats provide an elevated view of the street.
Good food and atmosphere. I really like this place. My favourite is their Lasagna, I like to order it with both meat and mushroom sauce. Good portion size and so nummy. I try to visit this place every time I visit Saskatoon. Staff is always friendly.
