Fogon Zapoteco - Santiago de Querétaro

Had to go to the kitchen after we had waited for our food about 1 hour, 3 x bones in the enchiladas, food was borderline hot no excuses at all for waiting or bone. There were only 5 other customers on another table in the restaurant.. Really was disappointed expected much better...

We visited Fogon Zapoteca based on the number of excellent reviews displayed in Trip Advisor. But when we arrived, there was a chain over the front door, and once we realized that they were open, we received a hatch-warm greeting from the hostess, then we sat on the first table in the entrance, next to the kitchen. Our food was best on average, and it cost more than other restaurants with similar quality and service. When we paid our bill, the same hostess took our bill and did not ask if it should return our change. I am disappointed by our culinary experience and would recommend that you find another restaurant in el Centro.

Este lugar merece más allá de cinco estrellas. Lo diré en pocas palabras, la atención y la comida son más allá de extraordinaria y deliciosas. William, uno de los miembros de la familia dueña de este restaurante y que gentilmente nos atendió además nos ha explicado detalladamente el origen de este lugar y el origen de la comida que hemos pedido. En tu visita a Querétaro debes parar aquí. Ampliamente recomendado. A partir de ahora será mi lugar favorito en Querétaro para comer. This place deserves a five+ star rating. I will say this in a few words, the attention and the food are more than extraordinary and delicious. William, one of the members of the family in charge of this place who gave us amazing service explained the Origen story of this place and the food in a very detailed way. When you visit Querétaro you should definitely try this place out. I really recommend. From now on this will be my favorite place to eat in Querétaro.

Looking for authentic food and great service? This is the place. We had café de olla, authentic chocolate from Oaxaca, pan de yema, mole, blue tortillas... The staff is really helpful in explaining the different dishes. Highly recommended!!!

We love this little restaurant in the historical part of Querétaro. The owner and staff were very attentive, and willing to spend time to discuss and explain the food on the menu. The food is presented in a very traditional manner and is simply delicious. The drinks are also very traditional and great tasting.
