Luís Dos Leitões - Santarém

At first it was bad, but then, it got awesome. We called to make a reservation people), but when we were there, we had to wait approx. to go to the table, as the waiters had passed another family in front of us......When we seat, they told us the pork (main dish) was sold out... We got really frustrated, as we went there to eat that. We asked for other dishes, and after a while, the manager comes to the table and apologizes for what happened, and offered us for free some pork with full sides. We were happy for his knowledge of the mistake, and will to make customers happy. The food is great, and the price is totally fair, if not cheap!! Recommend it.

Travelling between Algarve and Coimbra and Googled for a lunch stop, found Restaurante Luís dos Leitões just north of Santarem. No english speaking here but boy what good food. We had grilled crispy sucking pig served with rice with pig liver and wine, really good!

Traditional flavors, a very friendly and efficient service and a warm atmosphere make this house a place to visit that you will not regret. Sabores tradicionais, um serviço muito simpático e eficiente e um ambiente acolhedor fazem desta casa um local a visitar, não se vão arrepender.
