Great Southern Café - SANTA ROSA BEACH

10/10 would recommend. The name is not lying, it's really a big south café! We had the fried pork chops with three sides and the large southern diving sandwich. Both were delicious! We also had a watermelon coconut Mojito and Calamari, which was also very good! I would eat here again and recommend it to everyone.

The shrimps and grits, the salad, the oysters, everything was great. The service was super friendly, attentive, fast, considerate and wish I could think more adjectives. They had leaves and coronations for the children. Also children cups avoid broken glass or spilled. Definitely a not missed place and we made reservations for breakfast.

Amazing experience! Amazing atmosphere! I couldn't take pictures of all the records! We had a group of 12 and made reservations, but had to wait about 15 minutes. It was a packed house, so I recommend getting it early or reservation weeks in advance. You could sit inside or outside on the terrace. The weather was nice, so we choose to sit outside! Best Mohito I had and so many different flavors to choose. I highly recommend this place! See you next time!

We evacuated to Seaside during Ida and while we always loved Great Southern Cafe, it seemed especially welcome this trip! If you ever notice that the people who work locally, you will find there after their shift, which always speaks well from a bar or café! The owner of this place is just one of the nicest men and he also owns the Sushi restaurant nearby, which I also recommend!! So back to the Great South, I would like to say I tried everything, but I can never come by the grouper!! It is the best black, fried, grilled, no matter what it is wonderful. Ask for the Crab above and it will die for!!! The pages are the hardest decisison and you will probably not be able to eat it when you order an appetizer, but go ahead and do it anyway!!! My husband loves the raw oysters and we are wine drinkers so that the wine list is always sufficient and actually more than sufficient for seafood... The service is great and the atmosphere outside is safe and wonderful. This is the gold standard and a must do when you go to 30A somewhere near 30A! We go back in a few weeks and I can't wait to go back the Great South!!! Come from the land of food NOLA, which is a compliment!!!

The great southern café, is a fantastic place to go, if you have a large party this is the perfect place they can accommodate large parties 10 or more they do except reservations. The food was exceptional, We started off with the crabcakes and fried green tomatoes, main course, I had the shrimp and grits(ya ya) One of the best things that I’ve had this week ! My wife had the fried pork chop with cheesy grits, and green beans, my son had the pompano with hush puppies fries and coleslaw, he absolutely loved it, FYI , parking can be a little bit challenging, in that area so get there early to find a place to park
