Margo's - Santa Monica

I’ve come here many times with my friends and family and overall the food has been really good. Its somewhat on the salty side and a bit pricy but the food is still delicious. I’ve tried the tacos, the imposible slider, the mushroom pizza, the baby kale salad, the string beans, and the pesto pasta.

Food was good pizza was not cooked properly and toppings slid off. Two staff were kind and helpful, two were generally sour and distant. Should get rid of counter orders and just staff tables with servers. Great wine and cocktails.

I had one of the vegan pizzas and it was delicious.

I hate to give a vegan restaurant anything less than 5 stars, but I found my meal at Margo’s pretty lacklustre. The tacos were very, very heavily coated in a mayo-based condiment that overpowered everything else. I would go again if invited (and some other dishes may surprise me but I won’t be seeking it out again. There’s too much good food in LA to opt for something on the pricier and blander side.

I was looking for somewhere new to go for brunch and found Margo’s in Brentwood. I didn’t know this place existed and was so pleased to find it. I had the breakfast pizza which I could have eaten the entire thing but got a box so I could bring home. My husband had the huevos ranchero and thought it was the best he ever had. Plan to go there soon for dinner.
