Lanchonete Orquidea

This place has a daily dish not vegetarian option available! Fairly good sandwich for 3,5 euros and so and so meat lasagna for 5,5 euros. Staff is not that friendly

Stopped for a late afternoon snack. Found it was a sort of Azorean Subway, with sandwiches to order (but a more limited selection of fillings). Good fresh bread, nice people working there. A little bit of a language barrier, but their English still better than my Portuguese. Very reasonably priced.

I went with my family to this lanchonete and was pleasantly surprised with the food. Great options for very reasonable prices. It does get busy, so you might have to wait. The staff were very friendly.

We didn’t expect much and got less. We stopped for a quick lunch and chose this shop because it always seemed busy. They advertise hamburgers, but couldn’t prepare any because they were out of buns. They had run out of shrimp for the shrimp salad. We ended up with a couple of sandwiches which were meat and cheese in a roll. Eat lunch early on Flores because it is a small island without many options. If you find a market, you can probably put together a lunch from their offerings for less.
