Kuya J - Santa Cruz

We came from Tagaytay and decided to get something to cool us down as the weather was so hot. The halo halo was so creamy. Sotanghon was also good.

I heard a lot about "Kuya J" before... as they said good food and most of all the price is affordable until yesterday as me and my friend have our way in Nuvali, we decided to have some sweet halo- halo as it's their best seller in Kuya J. Almost 5:30 pm when we get inside the place and we order for halo-halo and the original one is not available already so we have the ube flavored one and we do also order palabok and sad to say its not available again so we end up in Bam-ie noodles. So far as we wait for our orders i just observed the ff:> service screw are understaff> it seems that service screw don't know their specific work assignment.> orders takes so long that even some customer walk out of the place.>even water will take time before they refill your glass Only one thing I like about Kuya J that I will come back is their HALO-HALO ... refreshing and sweet ... good for summer. .. hope they have enough ice for the summer to cater halo- halo for all their customers.

After 4 hrs travel from Muntinlupa to Tagaytay because of traffic, we decided to eat dinner at Kuya J at Ayala Mall Serin. Food was good , we didn't have to wait that long and good thing my mom brought extra rice so that we can still buy additional dishes at this resto. Its like Gerry's , Dencio's . Would go back but not right away..

This restaurant was a talk of the town when it was first aired on TV. But sadly, this resto falls under my expectation. The food have good presentation but frankly, taste is just the average. This is good for a large group though and price is between low to mid. Give it a try still. But for me, I am sure this will not have a special place in my food chart.

The overall service was great and the food was served in a timely manner. We ordered grilled squid, fried chicken, crab rice and halo-halo. The quality of the food is great. The food served with a flurry.
