Sakana Sushi Japanese - Santa Barbara

Although the inside was bustling, this was a perfect place for a relaxing meal. I had the hamachi (yellowtail) habañero melt, the wagyu sashimi, a couple slices of toro (fatty tuna) nigiri, the miso eggplant, and a delightful cup of nigori sake. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the sushi was of the highest quality. Watching sunset colors flood the sky through the open door and sipping from a cup of cloudy sweet antique sake, I felt an elusive inner quietude that I haven't felt in too long.

The oysters on the half shell are delicious. press box sushi is very unique! Definitely a must try

Love this place... sitting outdoors at a strip mall with the I101 as background music eating The Best Sushi I 've ever had... anywhere! Two rolls and a press box (imagine a roll without seaweed). The most harmonious layers, flavors and textures...way way way beyond traditional. My only regret is that I live 7 hours away!! Posting my order, handwritten and hopefully aligns with the order that the pics post.

This place is amazing. The quality of the food, low prices, and excelent services. My top favorite place for Sushi. The trip to Atascadero is totally worth it!

The service was very good and good was overall ok. Went here I've before and it was amazing so I made the drive back. This time wasn't as good. Still good though.
