Had been having a negative trip due to employee issues at my company and decided to go to this restaurant/bar in the hotel I was staying. The bartender, Anita, was excellent. She was professional and friendly and was very attentive to her customers. I will definitely be back!!!
This review is more for the food experiences I had, and are not reflective of the amazing service from Anita and Christopher at the bar in the evenings. First, although it's posted everywhere that the insanely overpriced breakfast buffet is only offered on the weekends, I was informed on Monday and Tuesday that they only offer the buffet. Even with the Diamond daily credit of $30 for 2 people staying in one room, the buffet is straight bunk for $25 per person (yea, you read that right). Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, tator tots, and French toast make up the hot food portion of their buffet. I've stayed at other, higher-end Hilton properties in hotter markets (LA, South Beach, Manhattan) that don't dare charge $25 for a lame-ass breakfast buffet. The sliders at Happy Hour were another letdown. 2 tiny, undressed, unseasoned sliders for $8. $4 for each 2-bite experience. Fries were good, but not $7 good. Tip to management: for the love of God, fix your prices...or at the very least, offer your posted ala carte items.
Had their breakfast buffet and although it was basic breakfast buffet food, the staff was extremely polite and quick. Didn't have to ask for coffee refills and were extremely attentive.
There was too much sauce in the soba noodles, we went to go down to ask for another dish with less sauce. the bartender of meritage gave me attitude and said, you pretty much ate all of it and chuckled??? just because i ate the tofu doesn 't mean i ate all of it, that was the only edible thing. what was left was pretty much like the picture, don 't go here!! the way i was treated was unnecessary
Had a quick dinner while staying at the hotel for business. Ordered the Caesar Salad with Salmon which was good. Service was great especially considering there appeared to be only 2 people covering both the bar the dining area. Very attentive even when it got crowded.
