The food was so good! The hot dogs were amazing and had a nice moment. The Pommes were some of the best pommes I had for a long time. We'll be back.
I'm not a huge hot dog person, so I got wings, but my daughter and husband both loved their hot dogs! One hot dog each filled them up and the flavors of each blended together for a great experience. It had been several years since my husband had been and there were new items on the menu for him to try. My onion rings were fantastic, my daughter kept trying to trade me tots for rings, but I really didn't want to share they were so good!
This is a fun place to stop and try out. Everything we tried was delicious, but it was a bit pricey for the portion sizes. Paying $8-9 for a hot dog seems a bit steep, even if it is loaded with toppings. The hot dogs and hamburgers come on Hawaiian-style rolls, which adds a fun twist if you're not worried about counting calories. We ordered a Jalapeno Burger and a Californian hot dog, both of which were tasty. The hamburger meat was surprisingly good, and the buns were also excellent. While the hot dog was good, it ultimately still tasted like a typical hot dog. The entrees are around $10 and do not come with fries. Overall, the food was flavorful, but the prices were a bit of a downside. If you order a hot dog, a hamburger, fries, and a drink, it can add up to around $20 per person, which feels a bit excessive for what you're getting.
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Dog House! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially in meeting my sodium restrictions. The food was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try more options. The sweet Hawaii rolls were a standout dish for me.
