Barva Volcano National Park Entrance

Very difficult to get here because of the high climbing. Make sure your car is either an SUV or a 4WD. There is no phone reception and UBER does not reach here. Aside to this, the park trails are awesome with amazing views. Had a lot of fun with our hiking experience.

Difficult to get to, but great little hike up to a lake near the top of the volcano. Interesting cloud forest with some oak trees. Saw footprints of tapirs. Not the crowd scene of the adjacent Poas volcano.

The road to get to the entrance by car is for high cars preferably.

The hike at Volcan Barva is fantastic, with plenty of diverse wildlife and flora that make you feel right at home. The highlight is the cool lagoon with multiple viewpoints, as well as a great spot to see Volcan Poas, even though it's a bit off the beaten path, it's definitely worth it!

This place is spectacular. Highly recommend hiking there.
