Old Town Sushi - San Mateo

"I ordered the Salmon Skin Roll, but the skin was burnt. The Beef Teriyaki was overcooked and chewy, making it hard to enjoy. The Lion King Roll was soggy and watery. We dine here often, so this experience was particularly disappointing. We hope to see improvements in the future."

The sashimi is excellent, the sushi is fantastic, and the dinner combo is large and a great deal. It's definitely one of the best sushi spots in San Mateo!

The No. 1 roll is my absolute favorite, and the grilled salmon chin/fin is also incredibly tasty.

I can't say enough about how much I adore this restaurant. A friend recommended it to me, and I find myself returning repeatedly. Whenever we have guests, we usually take them to Old Town Sushi. The portions are generous, and the quality is excellent. It’s my favorite sushi spot! The roll shown in the pictures, topped with crab meat, is the No. 1 Roll—absolutely delicious!

The San Francisco Roll is amazing, and so is the California Crunch Roll. The fish is fresh, the sauces are delicious, and it's a great value. This is our favorite sushi spot in San Mateo!
