Cool spot right downtown we found. We aren’t from here and found it.Salads, burgers, etc. lots to choose from. I had a morracan salad with chicken. We also had turned one of the salads into a wrap. The loaded tator tots were pretty yummy as well.Nice open seating or inside.
Large, casual eatery and bar just off the main path of downtown San Luis Obispo. The drink selection is huge and solid with a full bar, and their food variety and quality is a cut above a lot of bar/grills of their size. Think the size/selection of a big buffalo wild wings but food quality of a smaller gastropub. Ruben sandwich and burgers are great, and the flatbread pizzas are perfect for one with a hearty appetite. Everything is crispy crunchy hot and delicious. The atmosphere varies by day with Thursday and weekends being fairly crowded and boisterous to a lovely buzzy feel on a weekday evening. Sometimes the music is really loud at like 5:00p on a Sunday which just makes it hard to talk, but usually it's fine, and that isn't always the case. Their service is so attentive and lovely they'd probably turn it down just for you, but I would be mortified to ask (at a time like that they could, not during a busy weekend service).Kid-friendliness: Not the kid friendliest being a big bar and grill, but with lots of outdoor seating they wouldn't be a bad option for a family with kids for lunch. By evening not so much.
Overall: 4.6/5 dine in)Took us awhile to be seated on a Saturday night since they were busy but the service was good. Our waitress looks like an actress but she confirmed she's not one. The crowd here was definitely on the younger side given SLO is a college town.Bacon Deviled Eggs $10): I'm not into deviled eggs but these were delicious and probably my favorite dish of the meal.Cheesesteak Egg Rolls $12): This was an interesting fusion item. The cheesesteak isn't as umami in this form than in a regular sandwich form but it's great for satisfy your craving without all those calories. Plus it's great for sharing. My husband liked this take more than I did though.Mini Lobster Rolls $14): There was a generous amount of lobster on each roll. The lobster was juicy and the roll overall was very balanced and delicious.Truffle Burger $14): Most anticipated but not great. The burger was lacking umami and that satisfaction you're supposed to get after eating a burger.Passion Fruit Mojito $12): Better than the raspberry smash.Raspberry Smash $12): Recommended but not that great. Super light.
