Spicy City - San Gabriel

Spicy City is one of my partner's favorite restaurants, and we usually stick to our favorite dishes without trying anything new. I'm really glad they have reopened with limited outdoor seating. We haven't dined there much since the pandemic started, but we've visited twice since they reopened for outdoor dining.

This place is definitely a must-visit for anyone craving hot and spicy food. We absolutely love the cold chicken with peanut sauce, the spicy fried chicken, and the lamb and beef hot pot—these dishes are amazing!

This restaurant is outstanding and really highlights the best of Sichuan cuisine. A friend of mine from Sichuan even said that the food here surpasses what you would find there. The dishes are packed with flavor but aren't excessively spicy. The white pork and kung pao chicken are especially delicious, and the fish dishes are fantastic too!

We ordered spicy and non spicy dishes here. Lamb meat dry fried with Sichuan spices on toothpicks was quite good. Also sautéed green pea sprouts were excellent. Shredded pork meat with steamed buns were delicious as well as the steamed carp fillet in sour and spicy soup. There are much more traditional Sichuan dishes here. Highly recommended.

The food here is amazing. The fried red pepper chicken is the best I've had: it's salty, spicy, and flavorful. The staff is very friendly, always making us feel right at home. A must visit!
