Biriani House - San Francisco

I had driven past this restaurant, Jay's Cheesesteak, many times and always thought it looked like a rundown hole in the wall. Eventually, I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. It turns out this used to be Dosa's spot, and the food is just as good. The veggie biryani is delicious, with varying levels of spiciness that adds to the flavor. The portions are decent and the prices are reasonable. I usually order takeout in the early evening and find myself as the only customer in the restaurant, which can feel a bit lonely. However, the food is worth it, and they offer a great lunch special that I always forget about. I will definitely be returning, perhaps on a holiday next time.

I always have a strong desire for their tikka masala. The staff is very friendly and the food is very comforting to me. The atmosphere is fantastic and the ambiance is great. I try to dine here at least once a week. Thank you!

The Vegetable Biriani was filled with frozen vegetables. The server was very friendly, but the only one working in the nearly empty restaurant, located in a popular and vibrant area of the city.

I'm always craving their tiki masala. People are super friendly. It's really comfort food for me. Super great atmosphere here. Ambiance is great. Try to eat here once a week.
