The coffee is just okay; hard to compete with the stiff competition in the city. The service here is also hit-or-miss. However, I really appreciate the atmosphere of this store, and how it's welcoming to both people who are here for a quick cup and people who want to work with their laptops or their textbooks. And the views of Fillmore St outside the giant windows are great.
Rude service from employee named George. My drink order was taking longer than many of the people who ordered after me, when I mentioned that I had been waiting for my drink, George rudely asked for the drink and the size of it, once he finished the drink he aggressively slid it over to me. Sorry if you were having a bad day man, it's completely unnecessary to be so rude and treat someone with that type of attitude!
Ordered a white choc Carmel iced mocha and it was pretty good! Also got these chocolate covered cherries and they were great! My husband ordered a plain cold brew and he said he liked it!There is not very much seating in here, it’s a pretty small establishment, so we took ours to go! We liked it enough we ended up ordering a coffee from this same chain at the airport on our way out.The baristas were nice but there was tension between some of them and a little unprofessional and huffy. Hopebtheir days got better! Vegetarian options: Several meat free options for food Dietary restrictions: They have several different types of milks Parking: You may have to walk a little ways as street parking is pretty limited! Kid-friendliness: While you can take your kids in here, the seating options are few so I don’t recommend dining in.
Used a gift card and simply asked the young man if the remaining balance was under $10 could he please just cash out the remaining balance and give me cash as I did not intend on supporting this place or any other locations any further than this last time. I nearly cancelled everything and left however I decided to stay the course. Honestly the main reason was to see how the employee reacted to my request about cash for the gift card. Which is absolutely within the boundaries of California Laws pertaining to gift card balances. As expected they behaved abhorrently. The first ummm barista I guess we will call him?? Who turns out to just be a career pot head only dragging his stoned body to and from because his bestie and roommate was the day shift lead. He looks at the card and then looks at me and I 'm a moment of what I can only guess would be his internal alarm telling him his weed is wearing off, says uhhh what are you talking about ddeeeewwwwddd?? I explained as seriously and swiftly as I could, the laws in California pertaining to gift cards balances and option of cashing out. He then looks at me with a look like I just asked him, what the square root of something was..??? Puzzled , he manages to utter, uhhhhh you 're gonna have to talk to my boy about dat. But, it 's cool he 's a manager and he will tell you the same thing I did bro. Not able to differentiate between the two stoners standing there in front of mei, I let out a burst of laughter and to make a long story even longer... Kidding I 'll wrap it up. He started to tell me there same thing but, anticipating this I was already on hold with the customer service at corporate and thinking they would simply tell this pair of creators that don 't have 10 brain cells to rub together and it would be cool and I 'd get my change and be in my way. EHHHHHHHH...... NOPE.... THEY MUST ALL SHARE THE SAME BONG....I literally had to get them to retrain ALL of their employees ONLY AFTER I had my lawyer send them a short but nice letter on letter head letting them know where they can research the law concerning gift cards and cashing out in California.....UGGHHH... Needless to say this place needs serious work on staying current with policies and I don 't know STATE LAWS regardless of how they feel about them.
