I recently had the pleasure of dining at De Afghanan, a kebab haven in San Francisco, and it was a truly exceptional experience. The Qabli Pulao, hailed by a seasoned traveler as the epitome of lamb perfection, surpassed all expectations. The lamb kebab, a masterpiece of culinary artistry, showcased a flawless preparation. The appetizers, featuring delectable eggplant and bolani, were seasoned to perfection, tantalizing the taste buds. Opting for the health-conscious route, the succulent chicken kebab was a revelation, defying the usual dryness associated with such dishes. As a kebab connoisseur, I found myself thoroughly impressed. The owner's warm hospitality added a personal touch, and the baklava was a revelation of moist and delightful sweetness—far from the typical dryness. I wholeheartedly recommend this culinary gem for an extraordinary dining experience!
Very delicious food, got the triple kebab and left satisfied. Since we aren’t from the area, we came pretty close to closing (had to navigate our way there) but still the food quality was great, and the worker made sure to bring the food out to us. Wish I could’ve gotten a better pic, but all of the meats were tender and everything else on the plate balanced and complimented the ingredients well.
The food was below average but the price was damn high. Service was good. It's a small restaurant and they mostly do take out for limited parking and seating.
I usually pick up from here at least once a month. This place is consistently delicious and the portions are plentiful! All the kabob are yummy and the staff is so pleasant!
