My wife and I went here for dinner. I had the tempura udon and spicy tuna roll. She had a tuna hand roll and tuna sashimi. The service here is excellent and the food is fresh and delicious. I will say the spicy tuna roll is one of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend.
This use to be our favorite family spot. But our last visit left me disgusted to the point where I won’t ever be returning. Sushi is supposed to be fresh. We ordered blue fin toro which was at MP and when it came out I thought they mixed up the order because of how different it looked. I tasted it and couldn’t bring myself to swallow it. I flagged down the waitress and she even stated she’s never seen that fish that color. If you have bad fish, DO NOT SERVE IT! Shockingly she also stated that coming on Sunday is not a good idea because they usually only get fresh fish on Monday and Wednesday. Once she said that I didn’t touch anything else on that table. They didn’t even refund us for the $40 toro. I wish I had taken a picture but she took the plate of my table immediately
Ordered for takeout and everything was ready when they said it would be. The restaurant is a nice size inside, I appreciate how they space the walkways and tables as well as they can for a bit of social distancing. Some family members wanted Japanese food but they don't eat raw fish. Most places around here are primarily sushi restaurants (including this one), but lucky for us, Little Tokyo also has cooked meals, AND they are open on Sunday. We ordered some dinner entrees a la carte, which comes with rice, green salad (dressing is in little containers on the side), and miso soup. I wanted to add 2 cold items to my order when I got there to pick up (edamame and a salad), which thankfully they were able to fulfill with a short wait. Note that I would NOT have been able to add a hot item at the last minute because they were busy, and the hot dishes are cooked fresh. The seniors in the family can be hard to please with food sensitivities, etc., so I'm so happy that they enjoyed the food, particularly the flavorful miso Chilean seabass. Portions are not huge but enough to be satisfied. Service was good even though they were busy. Thank you.
The food here is really good. The servers here are so nice and provide amazing service. I ordered a to-go order from here and they got everything together in half the time that they told me when I placed the order and then called me to tell me it was early instead of letting it just sit there for 20 minutes. Appreciate you guys!
