This place is below average, and I'm posting this review in the hopes that management sees it because it has so much more potential. They have a good selection of beers. The bartenders are always really cool and provide pretty good service. My main gripe with this place (I'm a huge barbecue guy) is how lackluster the menu is in its current state. They opted to put a pulled chicken sandwich on there over something far more appetizing like say a hot link sandwich or a burger. The brisket is probably their main selling point but it's only average. If they really want to be a bbq spot they should start doing tri tip and drop the mushroom sandwich and pulled chicken sandwich. The sides need work. Their Mac n cheese uses goat cheese, there's not one bbq spot on the planet that does this. It isn't great. I want to give this place a better review but the menu is boring and uninspiring. Good place to grab a beer though. Food isn't great. Not a real bbq spot.
Atmosphere was good, waiter was awesome. Food was ok. The collard greens needs more of a southern touch and it will be a lot better.
Excellent smoked bbq dishes and friendly service. Fun setting with community style longer tables and great music mix. Chicken wings, Brussel sprouts, Platter to share and taco trio were our favorites. Our larger party was able to make a reservation online prior too. Parking was the only difficult part since they have a lot. There is street parking.
Just dined during Happy Hour (4 to 6 pm, not sure about weekends) on National BBQ Day, 5/16/2022. Everything was $2 off! Including beverages. I made reservations for 5:45 pm, but it was pretty empty when we arrived. We started with fresh squeezed lemonade (1 free refill) and root beer for $3-$2=$1 each! They offer Pepsi products. The lemonade was very tasty. The Meat Platter was $49-$2=$47 and included pulled chicken, pulled pork, 4 baby back ribs, 3 large slices of brisket, rib tips, 2 halves of Texas toast, and 3 sides. We chose cole slaw, potato salad and seasoned fries. The fries were good, the potato salad was ok and the cole slaw tasted weird. Like they used sour cream instead of mayonnaise? We didn't care for it. I thought the meat was good. Most of the items had a pronounced smoky flavor I didn't much care for. BBQ sauce was served on the side. The service was friendly, but spotty. There were a couple times we needed the server for a refill, and the way the restaurant is laid out, the server just couldn't see us. Street parking. We found a spot right across the street, but PB can get pretty busy. We probably won't be back.
