El Maguey - San Carlos

Fantastic authentic Mexican food. The chicken tacos are a solid and reliable choice. The Salsa Bar with unlimited tortilla chips is a great addition to a variety of salsas (including mango, my personal favorites).

Not sure why it took me so long to visit El Maguey. But the moment I left was greeted by the friendly staff. The place is very cheap and the food is amazing. This is an authentic Mexican food. I ordered some tacos and they were delicious, my wife ordered the shrimps Fajitas and they were amazing. She couldn't finish the whole plate. They also have different types of salsas and each individual taste amazing. This is a great place to get Mexican food in San Carlos and Belmont. The only disadvantage is the limited space for immersion. And the parking situation. But if you want big tacos, this is the place to go!

My local Mexican place when we are too busy cooking, we take a few takeouts from El Maguey always a family favorite for us. You have a really delicious fresh salsa bar with some unique homemade salsas, and the food always meets the point (me goes to Chile Relleno Burrito, my children go for Quesadillas). Horchata, if we felt. It is right next to the Caltrain Station, so I can go there on the way home from the work that is super comfortable. The staff is nice, the service is fast, the food is good, and there is a TV that always has football on it, what you can ask more, lol.

Super burrito and quesadilla (pollo asado) are both equally delicious! If I'm too lazy to bring a lunch for work, it's my go-to. And every time the food is just as tasty as the last. Really friendly and fast service too. I love it.

Have eaten a lot from here and the food is excellent taqueria style food. From their friendly line ordered inside and had delicious breakfast Burritos vegetarian, horchata and Peruvian cookies. Everything delicious to go with a rich selection of Salsas. No line in the morning.
