Buddy V's La Cantera - San Antonio

Food was delish... Kalb Marsala for me and chicken with vodka pasta for my friend. Bread was great! The best part was the service! From bartender fore-dinner to waiters in the dining room to bus staff... all were so friendly and fun. Absolutely back!

The food can only be defined as meh. If I was served the same food I wouldn’t be able to tell if it came from an Olive Garden or Buddy V’s.

Our server was very helpful , polite and knew what the menu was about and made recommendations on our likings. Other than for her help the place was regular or low average.

We had reservations at 07:15 PM. Arrived at 07:08 PM and had to wait almost 30 mins to be seated it wasn't that busy and there were a multitude of tables open. Waitress was attentive but never asked if we wanted appetizers or salads, just took our order hurried off. A different waitress then tried to deliver our meal to a different table next to us, of which 1/2 of it got delivered there, then the other 1/2 came to us making my wife have to wait for hers to be redone. Miraculously, it came out within 2 3 mins. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. Although the meatballs were tasty, the spaghetti was undercooked (not al dente, definitely under cooked) and the sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee out of the can. Definitely not a do over...

Made a reservation and still had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time and there was only 1 couple waiting and another at the bar. It took a long time for the service. Food was okay but not great. The waiter did apologize for the service so I am not sure if it was an off night or what. Not impressed.
