Valter's Osteria - Salt Lake City

Shockingly overrated. Not bad but certainly not worth all the gushing praise it gets.

I researched it online for my trip to Utah and I was not disappointed. The food was outstanding the decor was beautiful, the service was amazing. Classy with amazing food. There needs to be more establishments like this and I will be back for my next trip to you to Utah

Beautiful meal. Atmosphere is nice. It the food is knockout good. Very heavy. My friend and I made the mistake of each ordering an appetizer because we showed up super hungry but we ended up being too full to fully enjoy the rest of our meal! The food is just delicious. Very fresh tasting. Our server was wonderful and offered great, definitive suggestions when I was struggling to make a decision. Overall an awesome experience.

Oh my goodness! The food here is legit! So amazing! Pricey? Yes! Worth it? Absolutely! They have wonderful specials, I would suggest sharing the sampler special. Trust me it'll feed two adults just fine. This is a must have experience. And don't forget dessert!

I feel for this place and leaving this review was difficult as I understand the recent loss of the captain. I write in honesty in hopes they continue to serve in a manner that prolongs a man’s legacy. The service was not that great. At the start it felt it was quality, then it felt scripted, rushed, and condescending. The food is far overpriced for the quality and flavor you receive.
