Poplar Street Pub - Salt Lake City

We were at the weekend in Saltseestadt and decided to go to this pub. I am am amazed by their reasonable drink price. her spicy chicken sandwich was amazing. great service.

Poplar street bar 242 s 200 w, salt lake city, ut 84101 I was the designated driver. my two friends ran for the last call at 0100 (10/14/2017) and they were allowed a shot and a beer. the occasion was the birthday of a friend. I just wanted to stay in her company. they discriminated and played the game. the bouncer used bully and frightening tactics against me. he had let me wait outside. he let my friends in. entry and drink are not the same. the dabc will hear about it.

Terrible service! we asked the bartender who were good and wanted to command drinks, and I told the bartender what I wanted five times, but he didn't listen. then the management came by and said the cash write-off to get rid of us. the bartender then told us that we had to order or go and would not stop talking long enough to tell him that I knew what I wanted. they gave it on the line, but the other end of the bar was empty. I'll let you type, but you can guarantee that I didn't.

I always came to poplar, it was the first date with my wife, but the management is now terrible. Right when she went into him, it was friendly, but now his person on his phone, texting, seeking ids instead of welcoming her and politely asking. We've been there twice and both times the service was horrible. Soooo slow. We made the mistake of ordering food both times and it took us over an hour to get out of there. If we were just there to drink it wouldn't have been bad. But since we wanted to eat, it screwed everything up. The waitress was extremely inefficient and kept leaving and coming back and each round trip took 10 minutes. We've ate at plenty of pubs around Salt Lake and this level of non service is unique to this one. I would not recommend ever going there for food and drinks if you have somewhere to be.
