I asked every question, and he genuinely answered. I’m not one to spend much money on seafood here in the desert we call Utah, because it’s always less than, but I was craving seafood and thought I’d give a lobster roll a chance since it said it was from Maine-to-plate in 24. I’ve tried other restaurants lobster rolls only to be let down, but now I had to try Freshies. AND MY GOD AM I GLAD I DID. I’m now a regular at both the truck and SLC location, because I can’t make my own this good(yes I tried), and also because of the people. A true top notch group of people! They are all kind and make a perfect XL lobster roll and spicy lobster sliders every time, and every time I leave full and happy. Thank you Graham, Sienna, and the rest of the incredible staff who make one hellofa lobster roll!Parking: Parking in rear and on street.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking in back with lift assist next to stairs for easy entrance for all mobility levels.
Ordered a lobster roll for lunch. It did not disappoint. One of the best lobster rolls I had. The flavor, portion, bun and the butter everything was great. The service was a bit slow. There is construction going on the road so no place to park in front of the restaurant. Just be mindful. Overall a great place to get lobster.Food: 5/5
This place is just like being in Maine at a lobster shack (you order everything at the front and then they bring it out to you). However let me assure you, the lobster roll is better than any I had in Maine. The buns are exceptional and the lobster meat is always perfectly cooked… One of my favorite restaurants around.Food: 5/5
I am so frustrated! I was very impressed I could place my order on line the night before and schedule a time to pick it up. I ordered 4 XL lobster rolls. And happily paid $150 for lunch. I picked up my order and drove to Davis County to bring lunch to my father in law who is in hospice. I get there and only have two rolls and a box with lettuce and little bits of lobster. I tried called 4x and no one answered the phone. So it looks like I paid 75 bucks a roll?!? Completely disappointing. The two rolls we did get get were just okay. With the reviews I was expecting so much more. Not answering their phone just adds insult to injury. Save your money and spend it at a restaurant that will value you as a customer.
When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty. Even so, we waited at the counter 10 minutes before any staff offered to take our order. A lobster roll and an order of sliders. After we chose a table, steady stream of customers came in, about 6 parties in all. We awaited our order, while everyone who ordered AFTER us was served. Everyone on staff walked past our table. After 30 minutes we approached the counter again to ask what the delay was. The counter staff briefly apologized and blamed the kitchen staff. We waited some more. They finally brought our order, most of it, after all the other customers had finished and left. We’d waited 45 minutes. At a counter service restaurant. For sandwiches. My sandwich had clearly been sitting somewhere for several minutes—it had a soggy, glazed-over appearance. My husband’s was clearly freshly made, and It WAS delicious. A manager asked about our food, and when we explained the issues, she apologized then blamed the counter staff and made excuses. Although the one lobster roll was great, the experience was unpleasant and unprofessional. No real effort was made to correct it—she did offer to make our order again so we could take it home, but we were staying in town overnight. And already tired of waiting! No offer to discount or refund, not even an offer of a drink or dessert. It was terribly awkward. It seems more thorough training for service staff and management would go a long way. Greet your customer promptly, verify orders, check on the folks STILL sitting there without food after you’ve served everyone else in the place. And if you screw up, own it and go beyond a weak apology to make it better.
