The Plaza - Salamanca

After visiting touristy restaurants, I appreciate how good this place is. They excel in all aspects, from their delicious breakfasts to their exceptional lunches. Be sure to try the bo burger - it's a must! Just remember to bring cash as they don't accept cards. The only downside is their limited hours due to covid - they are only open Monday to Friday until 12:30 pm.

This restaurant is a pillar of our community. The staff always remembers your name and favorite dish, and their service is consistently friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic.

One of my favorite memories of Salamanca is Cheap John's, where my Dad used to frequent. The home-cooked meals were always amazing, and watching the skilled cook, Bob Fish (and his father before him), manage multiple orders flawlessly was like watching a master at work. Bob was known as one of the best short-order cooks in the region. My go-to dish was the meatloaf special. Although temporarily closed now, I hope it won't be for long. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm home.

We do not recommend supporting a local business that airs Fox News. The programming is distracting and filled with nonsense. Additionally, the food they serve is not worth the visit.
