After a great review of our daughter on her birthday dinner she had enjoyed some weeks before, we decided to take our friend patricia and our great dog dudley for a special Sunday dinner after le manoir in st paul d’Espis. to find the place. was slightly tricky, they need to keep an eye for the signs at the side of the road near the crossings, and we missed a few and had to go back. it's just on the main road between moissac and bourg, but we were out of paint, which is a bit more difficult. but when we found it, we were all thrilled, the plot and the house were breathtaking, and the terrace where we sat for lunch was beautifully shaded by great brandies, very necessary as we are in the middle of a heat wave. our dog was also welcomed what was a relief, as we had forgotten to mention it in the book, and was immediately given its own bowl water right, on the lunch itself. three menu choices, and an eight cursor menu for (approximately prices from memory) I decided for the foie gras pictured, and guinea fowl from the menu and the ladies ordered flat-stare and pork melodies followed by chocolate brownie from the menu a very bright colored delicate rosé called patricia ortelli accompanied the meal. coffees were ordered from their own menu, about eleven sorts with different strengthening from different coffee producers countries in the world. the owner served us and was very helpful and attentive, who was the cook really knows how to cook and present, and we all explained the meal in our top ten per meal. an additional comment from my daughter, who was stranded there when her taxi did not appear, was that the owner's friend took the coat of taxi driver and delivered it to home about fifteen minutes drive away. that combined with their excellent meal, and an surprise well-being birthday candle made them explain it their best birthday ever. as they can say that we all loved this place and recommend that you go there, it is not close to all capitals, but it is so worth going out there. fun.
