I love the food. Nachos were amazing, the chips were thick enough to not get soggy n there were many toppings in every bite, but not a sloppy amount. The pasta was also great. The sauce tasted as good as I hoped and there was plenty of meat.
Finally at this Cajun place boy was waiting Worth it. Started with the Crawfish Crab cake with Remoulade sauce, so delicious tons of meat. Then the Dry Rub ribs just fall from the bone delicious. Then the little brother had the Expresso Montreal Pork with Fried Potato Salad Coleslaw. The pork steak was so tender that he fell off the bone, the roasted potato salad was something new. The only complaint was more Cole Slav needed. I had the Blackened Catfish Poboy who was delicious, maybe a little less sauce, the frits were crispy together with spiced what they really did. Not enough Cole Slav again. Tried the Jambalaya, which was also delicious, the Red Beans Rice were a little Bland maybe some sausages or spices would improve the taste. Overall, the food was spicy and well seasoned together with being hot as we had taken out. My compliments to the boss.
The dirty chicken was okay. It wasn't bad. If you have eaten Cajun food from New Orleans, you will understand the depth and complexity of the aromas that Cajun eats. The dirty chicken didn't have those flavors at all. But it was okay. Would I eat it again? No. Would I recommend it? No. If you've never eaten authentic Cajun food, you'll probably enjoy it more than I do. Just so you know, put orders to the bar and sit down yourself. It is a beautiful restaurant with tables of different sizes (2 person, 4 person and larger). It is also very illuminated. The bartender/waiter was very sweet and professional.
We ordered Sister Cities to cater a bridal shower. I cannot begin to capture how ecstatic and complimentary everyone was to see and enjoy the spread! We went with the pork hoisin, Shrimp roulade, etouffee, cornbread, and jambalaya. Ive been back in Texas for 2 days and I?m still craving the jambalaya. The bride?s favorite wAs the shrimp roulade while several went on about the pork hoisin. Such a hit and the team was so easy to work with. I messaged them on Instagram to place the order, paid via Square the following day, and everything was ready exactly when they said it would be!
