I have a few restaurants that I love around this town, but this one is my favorite and has been for 20 years. The Godfather is the best sandwich ever made. Their meatball sandwich is incredible. The prices are very good and the serving sizes are huge. If you've never been, do yourself the favor. Such a fun little shop run by some wonderful people.
Hands down the best spot for a sandwich in the area. 12” Extra Special is the only choice!
A decent 'hole in the wall ' deli. I don 't like the sandwiches being made in the back. Most of the food on display in the freezers is not made in house. I would say about 50% of it is made in house. The big bottles of ingredients give it that 'Jimmy Johns ' appeal. The meatball sub is a good staple sandwich here. The Godfather sandwich was a little too much sandwich for me. The sautéed mushrooms and gravy gave it a confusing flavor profile. Some of the sausage and deli meat on display for sale looked very fresh although I did not try them. They offer some gourmet Fitzs soda to wash down your sandwich. I think some new lighting and a hvac service(uv light/filter) might give it that fresh aesthetic. Location being in The Hill matches perfectly with the cuisine being offered.. Overall great place to come and enjoy some gourmet sandwiches with friends and family.
Came in from PHX and was our first time on the Hill! The raviolis were delish and the garlic butter sauce was heaven. Also had the sausage sandwich and it was sooooo good!
