Phuzzy's Boat Shack - Saint James City

I visited Phuzzy's for drinks and live music. The drinks were perfectly chilled, and the guitarist was fantastic. I really enjoyed the music; it was at just the right volume for conversation. The view of the canal and passing boats was a lovely bonus. I ordered some delicious grouper and chicken wings, and I have to admit, I took a few bites before I remembered to snap a picture! The drive was definitely worth it. The service was quick, the staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. I loved the deck area too!

My daughter and I enjoyed sharing two appetizers: the Boom Boom Shrimp (we opted for the blue cheese dip, and it was definitely the right choice) and the Hot Crab and Cheese Dip. Both were absolutely delicious! We both agreed that we'd gladly make the trip to the island just to enjoy one or both of these dishes again. We're looking forward to trying more items from the menu. We decided to eat outside to take in the view of the boats. Although it was a bit warm, a pleasant breeze from the canal kept us comfortable, and the mister provided a nice cooling effect. The hostess and servers were friendly and attentive.

The view is stunning and the service is excellent. However, the food was just mediocre. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which lacked flavor. The calamari was crispy but also didn't have much taste.
