This small diner seems frozen in time, reminiscent of the 1960s with its affordable prices. The owner, Mrs. Yolande, in her early 70s, single-handedly takes care of the place, working 7 days a week with only Sunday mornings off. The canteen has only 7 seats along the counter, with a vintage gas heater providing warmth. Despite its modest size, their club sandwich with homemade fries is a steal at just $5.50 including taxes. The cabbage salad is made fresh for each order and is delicious. Mrs. Yolande's passion for the business is evident as she enjoys meeting new people and learning about the world. Stop by to visit this lovely lady and enjoy a great meal at an unbeatable price.
The canteen at home is an experience in itself, a solemn communion. It is the caring and old fashioned service of Madame gendron, who must approach 75 years and who does everything, everything and everything. the 7 seats on stool, including the one at the bottom, stuck on the oil failure. wooden frames that hold to the top of the head with a hook. the sign that creeps in the middle of the counter and that allows Mrs.Kidron to carry the ord' of clubs to the customers of the tavern, located in the same way drive, leaving the canteen to the good care of the customers. It's sometimes the client who's gonna make the delivery, when Mrs. Gendron doesn't have the time. Yes, I saw that at noon... it's the icons of Sainte-Vierge stuck to the wall. the menu of the day not displayed, for regular customers, lazy souls of this corner of the city not chic. the comb painted 14 times, minimum. the vegetable of the day, offered on the side for the same price...The best fries in town. Club-frite-cole slaw-canner for $7.75 taxes and tip included. the only place where to eat a dagwood, this large 3-story sandwich topped with a beef ball, an egg, mayo, lettuce, tomato and a slice of orange yellow cheese. for the same price as the club described above. lunch 2 eggs bacon toasts and coffee for 3 piasses. It's mostly a place where time stopped. a timeless shelter. there is a benevolent silence. It's a place like we stopped making it a long time ago. like he's never gonna do it again. the kind of place I know, sincerely, that I'm gonna squeeze like a calf when she stops to exist.
Although there were no reviews for the wine bar, I decided to stop by to see what they had. I am visiting from the United States and am still learning about the AOCs.
