Istrouma Eatery And Brewery

What a great find! Loved the name and had good ratings so we drove a few miles south of Baton Rouge? so worth it! Very dog friendly! Nice selection of beer but in this heat I stuck to the light crisp side (which means I?ll have to come back and diveinto the dark side). My new favorite brewery!

Awesome outside layout, but the inside is a bit confusing. Lots of different inside areas but only had one bar open when I went. Had register issues so the line was longgggg. No indoor restrooms. Have a portable trailer for porta potty stalls but was veryclean. Ordered a couple different kinds of pizza, but it all tasted the same...also tried the ice cream float, and it was okay.Decided to sit outside and enjoyed the live music! I would come back just for the beer and atmosphere.

This was my first time at Istrouma, and I definitely want to go back. My husband wanted some good beer and funky pizza with a cool outdoor atmosphere. Well, we found it! The beer selection was solid, and their pizzas were delicious. Even on a warm summernight, the outdoor seating was pleasant made even better by live music and a small vendor 's market. I 'm already lookingforward to a return trip.

Very cool and eclectic place with a variety of indoor/outdoor seating. Very laidback vibe that is very kid-friendly. The pizza was great? very creative combination of ingredients. We had the Beaucoup- Scratch red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon,fresh mozzarella. olives, red onion, and Brussels sprouts with a light drizzle of hot sauce. ???????? Good beer and homemaderoot beer for the kids. Counter service with ?food-runners?. The day we went, the bar was closed, so all drinks had to beordered in the line for food creating a rather long wait.

Had a great experience here. The décor and location was completely not what I expected. We sat inside, due to it being rather toasty outside. Their beers were decently tasty and the pizza we had was amazing. Would definitely go back when we're in theneighborhood again.
