The Cidertender we had was awesome, I can't remember her name though, and I even asked about it specifically. But she was awesome. The Cider itself was a little hit or miss for me, but that's to be expected when you try 10 different things : The ones that do hit are really great though. We walked out with a fair amount of product. Would definitely go back.
Driving past the rows of fruit trees before reaching the cidery definitely gives this place an air of legitimacy. The guy who helped us out also gave us fresh peaches from his own orchard. They were very generous in letting us try samples. In fact, I think I drank a whole sampler. And then, they gave me a shot of bourbon. They also have nonalcoholic pear and apple ciders for the nonalcoholics in our group. There was a band playing when I went. The whole thing looks so picturesque, I felt like I was in a painting ?. I also bought two glasses and they are very solid. Much better than the cheap ones I ordered from Amazon. I should have bought a set of the mini ones too.I also found that they sell Hemly Cider at Trader Joe's which is good because I can't often make the trek out here. Props to whoever is doing the ordering at TJ's. I really like the cherry pear cider and they had this festive spiced pear chai one around the holidays. They get both 12oz and 16oz cans. Regarding the seaweed cider, you can actually taste the organic seaweed or whatever ecological description was on the can. Wondrous!
My husband, daughter and I finally made it out to Hemly cider. Hemly cider is my favorite cider. The outdoor area is super cute . You can bring your own games and food. Highly recommend trying a flight to enjoy all of their amazing flavors. Service was quick . We will definitely be back
I made a stop here on my way home and I am so glad I did. I enjoy hard ciders and I have had Hemly's cans before but never on tap. Lacy was incredibly knowledgeable about all the ciders as well as the local community and cider-related happenings in the area. I ended up getting two flights, the first one I was able to get a good picture of. As of summer 2023, Two flights here is only $18, which is a very fair bargain and allows folks to try a wide selection of Perry ciders. As far as the ambiance, I felt so much at home. There is plenty of outdoor seating here and would be a cute place for a picnic or to catch up with friends. I only wish they had a food truck or wood fired pizza on site, but regardless, I really enjoyed my time here. It felt like an oasis, and I can't wait to come back with friends and family.
Drove more than an hour to get here specifically and they were closed. So sad to hear of their loss, but my sister, who is somewhat local, has wonderful things to say about their tasting flights and cute hanger tasting room. Hope to be able to visit in the future to honor their family’s business.
