Food was fantastic, service not so great. Was in town for work staying around the corner and my coworker had this spot on her list so we walked over. The...
4.5 We had dinner at Mayahuel last night (a Friday) at around 7:30. We were seated inside right away, but it was loud (like kind of really loud) and I...
Food and ambience were excellent. Fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Beautiful colorful interior. We ordered the small Guacamole, Michelada Pint, exhibited Mexico enchiladas, tacos adobados de res, tacos poblanos de arrachera, Churros and ice cream, and Margarita Lime Custard. There are many outdoor seats and I like how the seats can only be judged by the inside of the restaurant, so that people cannot walk from the street to the outside terrace. The server Ernesto asked my male relative how the food was, but he did not ask the 2 ladies at the table. I paid the bill and tipped it accordingly. We want to come back soon and hope the service was just a fuke.
At first, I can't believe how many places melt and basically go against everything a thin martini stands for, means it has zero sugar! No agave, no sweet lime, no sweet and acidic. Two ingredients clear tequila and lime juice shaken. It should taste sour if the customer requires nothing else. Chips and salsa I had to pay would be 7 out of 10 and the Habanero was a good supplement. My Tacos Adobados de Rey were okay, but they were definitely better cold the next day. The service was good, but also after the explanation as I wanted my Martini, it was grounded and without salt. I am very talking about the thin margarita, because places like these have it turned into something it's not and that's sweet.
