A friend and I came here last Sunday after the Yelpie prizes. We had originally planned to go to another wine bar nearby until we found out that they no longer offered Happy Hour on Sunday. 58 Degrees Holding said they had a happy hour on Sunday, so we ended up here. The hostess offered to let us sit in the dining room because there was a huge party in the bar. We sat near the window in some high red deck chairs, under an antique mirror. I don't remember what he ordered, but I ordered a rosehambong, that was $5 in the Happy Hour menu. A Chambong is a glass of champagne served in a glass that should look like a bong, although I think it looked much more like a bubbling. As we were served, a group of women went in, noticed my Chambong and also ordered a round for themselves. They had three rounds when I finished my glass. Go to this restaurant, you can not help but notice the art and decoration. It's really cool. Everywhere you see, there are canvases, frames and various works of art. The hostess and the servers were friendly and our drinks came out quickly. I would definitely like to come back here for Happy Hour in the future.
About EVERYTHING we had was delicious. The service was great and we never had to ask for our server. They have a wild selection of wine and drinks. We loved it all.
We enjoyed this place as a stop before dinner downtown. The champagne glasses make me want to return with girlfriends for a GNO. We would have loved a flight of wines for tasting but it is not offered. Food was fresh, wine was lovely and the crowd is low key. Perfect for a date night starter location. I will be back again
My company had our holiday dinner here and it was disappointing. They crammed us in a room with barely enough room to walk around the table making it difficult to mingle and had to squeeze in an extra chair (even though fewer people came than had RSVPd). They had another party elsewhere in the restaurant so we were told not to go to the bar for drinks, to wait for our server. And the server was busy.We were given choices for salad, entree, and dessert that came with a paired flight. The croutons on the Caesar salad were soggy. My salmon was huge that's nice but overcooked. It sat on green beans and asparagus that were totally over cooked, and a risotto that was salty. The ice cream was good but it was vanilla ice cream hard to mess that up.If this were my experience on a regular dinner I would not go back. Because it was a group event with a special menu and staffing I will give it another try. But I wouldn't ever choose it for a group event.
