Service is absolutely quicker than most Ramen places. And the servers are nice. Ambiance- feels like you are in Japan. Small restaurant with few tables and chairs. In needs a renovation. It smells old and looks old. Food- we 've had the best Ramen in San Diego and it 's always been the best and no one can beat it. Menya Ultra I ordered Kuro truffle ramen- the truffle powder is so powerful that I was not able to enjoy my ramen. Perhaps if the truffle is less then maybe it has potential. Egg is not as gooey as I am hoping it would be beside that it 's only half. This ramen is a solid 2 out of 5. Karami ramen- this is what my husband picked. And I have to say this is much tolerable and it 's spicy. The broth is way better. With all kinds of extra toppings in it. I gave this ramen a 3 out of 5. Chicken Karage- this is the only one I enjoyed, great flavor and tasted really good.FYI: Only 1 restroom with weird lock. They should put a cabinet to store all kinds of stuff because it looks messy.
The empty bowl says it all. We loved this ramen restaurant because the flavors were rich and delicious. The wait was short if you come early and the service was great and attentive. We got the signature ramen and miso tonkatsu ramen. I love how you can choose your size at different price points. I also liked how they had chicken broth for ramen. The place itself was decorated like we were in Japan eating ramen.
My friend recommended me this ramen spot in Convoy so I thought we should check it out. I got the special house ramen which was pretty flavorful and had lots of veggies and noodles. It was the perfect portion size for me so I'm glad that I didn't have any leftovers! It does have limited seating but we didn't have an issue when coming in. The waiters were okay with service, they sat us in the back table so it was hard to get their attention sometimes. Other than that, great ambiance and store
I tried the small portion of their miso tonkotsu ramen, gyoza, and their chicken chahan. The ramen soup was good but the noodles look like the noodles from instant ramen and the chicken chahan was salty so I was kinda disappointed. Their gyoza was ok... Atmosphere wise you feel like you're in Japan. Food was also pricey. I'm giving this place 3 stars
